Eric T. Stach represents local governments, clients who appear before local governments, and clients involved in real estate development. Mr. Stach counsels on governmental matters, including, but not limited to, zoning, land use, economic development, municipal law and procurement. Mr. Stach has appeared on behalf of clients before state and local boards, commissions, agencies, and departments. He has served as an assistant corporate counsel to numerous municipalities and municipal federations in Cook, Lake, DuPage and Kane counties. He has represented commercial and residential real estate developers through all phases of land entitlement, including annexation, zoning approvals, recapture fee agreements, easements, licenses and leases.

Mr. Stach has been involved in civil actions including land use litigation, forcible entry and detainer actions, collections, contract disputes, quieting title, administrative review cases, and general real estate matters for condominium associations and real estate developers.

Mr. Stach served as a staff analyst to the Illinois House of Representatives 93rd Illinois General Assembly. He later lobbied before Illinois government on behalf of numerous groups including the state associations representing Illinois' home building industry, the hotel-motel industry, convention and visitor bureaus, general contractors, apartment owners, physical therapists, podiatrists, home health care practitioners, interior designers, and gaming boat interests.

While in law school, Mr. Stach externed for the Illinois Environmental Regulatory Review Commission, which proposed a comprehensive revision to Illinois' environmental laws in coordination with the Illinois Pollution Control Board. He also served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association and was Notes and Comments Editor for the Chicago-Kent Law Review.

Mr. Stach received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, in 2001 and his Bachelor of Arts degree in the Program of Liberal Studies from the University of Notre Dame in 1992.

- Analyzed budgets for twelve Illinois state agencies and prepared detailed summaries for caucus
- Assisted in land use approvals and resulting litigation pertaining to 200+ acre residential development in unincorporated Cook County
- Drafted comprehensive affordable housing plans for multiple villages
- Drafted election petitions, referenda, ordinances and all related materials for a suburban mayoral candidate, successfully halving the number of aldermen and changing their terms
- Lobbied successfully to re-write regulatory acts for physical therapists, podiatrists, interior designers
- Lobbied to establish the state-funded Council to promote Illinois' viniculture industry
