Kathleen McCarthy focuses her practice on municipal law, contract law and school law. At Del Galdo Law Group, LLC, Ms. McCarthy advises governmental clients on issues involving compliance with the Freedom of Information Act and claims for unemployment benefits insurance. Ms. McCarthy also drafts legislation, contracts and real estate development agreements on behalf of Del Galdo Law Group, LLC's public and private clients.
Before joining Del Galdo Law Group, LLC, Ms. McCarthy was a clerk with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, serving in both its Juvenile Justice and Felony Trial divisions. At the felony trial level, Ms. McCarthy worked mostly on narcotics and weapons cases and successfully argued and won several bench trials. While a student at DePaul University College of Law, Ms. McCarthy was a Dean's List student as well as an executive board member of the DePaul chapter of the Justinian Society of Lawyers. In addition to her legal education, Ms. McCarthy has volunteered with several children's charities and foundations that aid abused and neglected youths.
