Erin K. Kiernat focuses her practice on municipal law, contract law and commercial development for both municipal and private clients. Ms. Kiernat's work includes negotiating and drafting agreements for private and public clients, including real estate documents involving the sale, transfer, purchase, exchange and development of real property, leases, licenses, intergovernmental agreements, professional services agreements, employment contracts, separation agreements, indemnification agreements, reimbursement agreements, tax incentive agreements and releases. Ms. Kiernat also drafts legislation at the state and local level and advises and represents clients in zoning matters, tax increment financing, economic development, employment matters, the constitutionality of proposed legislation and public contracting. She assists clients in the election process by drafting documents for election objection hearings and ensuring that clients comply with applicable election laws. Ms. Kiernat also counsels private and public clients on developing practices and procedures in an effort to avoid litigation.
