Del Galdo Law Group, LLC represents community colleges, elementary and high school districts and a private learning institution as both general and special counsel. The firm represents these institutions of learning in employment and personnel matters from grievance initiation and unfair labor practices to administrative agency filings before the Equal Opportunity Commission, Illinois Department of Human Rights, Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board and Illinois Department of Labor. The firm also represents its education clients in mediations, arbitrations, and Federal or State court litigation.
In addition to defending clients in labor disputes, employment issues and personnel matters, the firm also specializes in labor negotiations with unions for the purpose of entering into collective bargaining agreements and employee groups to negotiate administrator contracts and employment agreements.
The firm also represents its educational clients in student discipline matters, student residency issues, special education law and procedural matters involving the interpretation and implementation of the policies and procedures of its clients, the administrative regulations and statutes of the local, State and Federal governments as well as State and Federal constitutional issues.
Transactional issues, such as construction contracts, vendor contracts, service agreements and public financing issues are regular client assignments performed on behalf of the firm's educational institutions. The firm's litigation department also represents its educational clients in civil litigation and civil rights lawsuits, as well as construction disputes and real property tax appeals. Finally, the firm employs attorneys with vast experience in land use issues such as eminent domain and condemnation.
